front line company in its \nareas of specialisation serving the AUTOMOTIVE and HYDRAULIC \nsectors and is currently at the leading edge of the international market. They have\nvarious facilities distributed in branches located \nthroughout Andalusia and Morocco that deal with commercial and technical services, plus a repairs workshop\nwith computerised test benches in San Fernando (C\u00e1diz). In other provinces\nacross Spain they also count on partners \nto help them provide the best possible service to their customers. Yet again they \nhave turned to Estanter\u00edas Record to cover their storage system requirements for their new headquarters \nsituated in Algeciras (C\u00e1diz).   <\/p>\n\n<h3>CUSTOMER requirements<\/h3>\n<p>Aliauto handles a <strong>high volume of light loads<\/strong> for the automotive sector which requires an <strong>intensive flow of stock rotation<\/strong>. They also need to store <strong>heavy palletised goods<\/strong> which are used to replenish the various lines of lightweight goods \nand the storage of end products ready for sale. <\/p>\n\n<h3>RECORD\u2019s solution<\/h3>\n<p>The overall storage project for the new headquarters was <strong>executed in phases<\/strong>, allowing the customer to conveniently <strong>plan for the necessary investment <\/strong>and <strong>adapt it to the growth of their business<\/strong> and the company. For efficient management of their <strong>lightweight goods<\/strong>, Estanter\u00edas Record proposed the installation of a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/estanteriasrecord.com\/en\/products\/picking-rack-over-floor\">manual loading solution with elevated aisles<\/a><\/strong>, so they could <strong>multiply their storage capacity<\/strong> and <strong>take full advantage of the warehouse\u2019s height<\/strong>.\nIn an area measuring 850 m\u00b2, we installed 25 rows of shelving ranging from 18.5 to 21.5 m long and two elevated walkways with 5 loading levels on each floor, reaching a total height of 7 m.   The access stairways leading to each of the levels were strategically located to <strong>make the most of the space available<\/strong> and efficient management of staff access points. <strong>Loading bays <\/strong>were installed in the upper levels to facilitate access for pallets loaded with goods, which could then be manually distributed to the different shelves.For this project, the aisles in the upper levels were created with <strong>panels of nonslip bar<\/strong> gratings providing <strong>two functions<\/strong> throughout the entire structure: firstly, <strong>strength and security<\/strong> for the safe passage of personnel; and secondly, they allow <strong>light<\/strong> to pass to the lower levels. In the first phase we installed over 7,000 linear metres of manually loaded shelving and the base structure so that the facilities could later be extended, in a second phase, to over 11,000 linear metres of shelving.
